Job Title:  CEO- Investment Cooperative  (Kshs 150 – 200K)
Industry: Financial Services (Investments)
Reports To: Board Of Directors.
Supervises: A team of 8
Remuneration: Salary, pension, family medical cover etc.
Our client is a medium sized Investment Cooperative located in Nairobi with membership open to the public. Position exists for a CEO to be based in Nairobi.
The jobholder is responsible for overseeing all aspects of cooperative operations, using financially sound and cooperative-oriented investments and business practices to increase its net operating income while providing high quality services to its customers.
Key Duties:   
Planning & Administration
•Provide leadership and vision to the organization by assisting the Board and staff with the development of long range and
annual plans, and with the evaluation and reporting of progress on plans.
•Attend meetings, disseminating information between governance bodies and staff, and reporting on workplace operations, finances, planning, and other matters as necessary.
•Proactively provide information, history, continuity, support and guidance to all governance bodies and members, in conjunction with the staff team.
•Advise the Central Management Committee when legal counsel is needed and coordinate legal resources
•Research and write discussion papers, analysis documents and proposals as needed to assist the organization in determining and meeting its long and short term goals.
•Oversee preparation of an Annual Report summarizing progress on short and long range plans.
 Governance
•Administer the affairs of the investment cooperative in accordance with organizational policies.
•Ensure the maintenance of official records, by-laws, and standing rules according to Board action.

Member Services Management:
•Oversee contracting services and member records retention.


Financial Management
•Provide vision regarding overall financial health
•Provide vision and leadership in long-range fiscal planning to ensure the continuity and solvency
•Ensure provision of information and guidance to the cooperative members.
•Oversee the provision of outreach and marketing services to ensure optimum uptake for cooperative products and services.
•Ensure provision of education and training programs to the leadership, and cooperative members.
External relations administration:
•Oversee relations with the Ministry of Cooperative Development, and other cooperative organizations

administrative records.
Workplace Administration
•Promote effective communication on all levels of the organization.
•Ensure that the functions and needs of the workplace are understood by the leadership
Related Job Experience/Qualifications
Degree Business Management /Finance /Economics or related field
At least 10 years’ experience, with 5 in senior management
Knowledge of Cooperative management field, property and real estate
Good understanding of the internal policies, systems and procedures of the organization.

Head of Sales Job Recruitment

Salary Kshs 240,000/- to 270,000 /- plus commission
Our client who is in the solar products industry is looking for a Head of Sales for both Kenya & Uganda. The main purpose of this job is to oversee the Sales of the solar products by implementing national sales plans; supervising regional sales managers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Training and leading the field sales team to create a large distribution network comprising hundreds of Business Managers and thousands of off-roll, village-level Business Associates in both countries.
  • Direct sales business    
  • Recruiting and managing regional managers and senior field sales managers
  • Setting up supply chain operations
  • Own and exceed sales targets within assigned territories

Professional and relevant experience
  • 8+ years leading and coaching large on-roll and off-roll field teams.
  • A team-builder, coach and leader at heart, able to drive unity of vision and purpose across very large sales teams
  • Significant experience and skills improving sales processes and marketing strategies in large sales organizations
  • Must be a degree holder in marketing
  • An MBA will be an added advantage
  • At least 5 years work experience within Kenya or Uganda in village-level or semi-rural geographies.
  • Experience in agent-driven direct sales industries strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of rural and/or direct sales environments high-scale field sales management experience
  •  
  • Strong sales planning and execution skills demonstrated through experiences in new geography launch; implementation of new channels or major strategic initiatives

Roofing Tiles/ Construction Sales Executive

Salary: Ksh 25, 000 + Commissions.

Job Summary:
The purpose of this job is to manage sales and grow business through achievement of projected targets and budgets, both in number and value
Duties & Responsibilities
Planning and prioritizing personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business targets, including costs and sales - especially managing personal time and productivity.
Planning and managing personal business portfolio/territory/business according to an agreed market development strategy.
Developing annual business plan in conjunction with Sales Manager, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year, which will focus all activities on meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
Selling consultatively and making recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers
Communicating, liaising, and negotiating internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
Attending and presenting at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
Attending training to develop/acquire relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
Contribute to other duties as assigned by the management.

Planning and executing local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities, e.g. product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing.
Monitoring and reporting on market and competitor activities and provide business development insights and information.
Developing a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling on project owners, direct mail, email, and networking.
Assisting in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed.
Managing the product mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims.
Maintaining and developing existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.


Qualifications
Diploma in Engineering, Building & Construction, Architecture or Sales and Marketing.
Degree qualifications will be an added advantage
At least 2 years experience in Sales. Experience in the construction industry will be an added advantage.
Good communication, written and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Computer Literate
Must have a positive attitude and be a go-getter.
Possess a valid Driving License
