Job description

Environment:
We are a leading integrated agency based in Cape Town and require a Senior .Net Web Developer with minimum five+ year's recent development experience, with knowledge of the latest .Net standards and technology.

Skills in security, best practices, software design patterns and user experience are all a must for this senior position. C#, SQL, PHP 5, .Net, MySQL, JavaScript, JQuery and Ajax, HTML, XHTML, XHTML-MP, MVC framework, Apache, Linux, web services API experience required.

Requirements

:
• Strong OO development skills using PHP 5 (expert) and above.
• MySQL Intermediate (expert preferred).
• JavaScript, JQuery and Ajax (Expert).
• HTML, XHTML, XHTML-MP (Expert).
• MVC framework experience required (Kohana, CodeIgnitor, Laravel, Yii, Symfony, etc.).
• Apache (expert).

• Minimum five+ years recent development experience. Formal qualification is a plus. (Don't apply if you don't have the minimum experience.)
• Exposure to the full software life cycle.
• Experience developing high performance, scalable, reliable web sites.
• Proven experience meeting deadlines and delivering quality code.
• Development skills
• Linux.
• Must have experience architecting, building and using web services api's (REST, SOAP etc.).

Other Skills

• Networking and DNS (intermediate).
• Version control systems - CVS/SVN/GIT (intermediate).
• Knowledge of jQuery is a plus.
